I just found this tribe but noticed that there hasn't been any new posts for quite some time. I know there is a growing number of Pet Care Professionals out there. Where are you?

Re: Where are all the pet sitters and dog walkers?
Thu, August 31, 2006 - 10:12 AMI just found it myself and asked the same thing.
? ?
I am a multi-certified holistic animal practitioner that does weekly or hourly/daily petsitting.
Massage, flower essences, herbal remedies, and some basic nutrition.
Very compassionate and intuitive by nature.
Live in Redondo Beach, but cover most of the LA beach cities up and down the coast.
Westside mostly, but can travel as far as Ventura or OC, depending on the job.
Work with all kinds of animals, but specialize in "special needs" issues (esp. dogs), like anxiety and post traumas.
Reliable, straight forward and honest.
Solid references available.
I would love to meet others in working this similar area.
People that I can refer out to when I am overbooked and cannot be in 5 places at once.

Re: Where are all the pet sitters and dog walkers?
Tue, September 5, 2006 - 1:43 PMHi, Gayle! I provide pet-sitting and dog walking services in the Central San Diego area. I am going to be attending a 2-week intensive Animal Acupressure & Massage course this month. I also am interested in nutruiton, Reiki, herbal remedies and other holistic methods to promote healing. I already have 2 current clients who can't wait for me to return from class and start helping their ailing dogs. I am just beginning my career in animal healing and am very passionate about it.
I am currently certified as a Pet Care Tech by the ABKA and Pet First Aid certified as well. At the end of September, I will be certified in Animal Acupressure but will continue to grow my experience and skills. I wil be working all over San Diego county eventually.
I'm glad to hear from other pet care professionals, especially ones that share my passion for Holistic Healing!
